Additionally, we enable students to pursue their interest in consulting and get the possibility to be recruited by consulting companies. Our highly motivated members also benefit from internal events and networking possibilities with like-minded students from various study backgrounds.

What our members say about us:

Markus Muttenthaler

My Name is Markus and I have a background in Business Informatics at WU Vienna. I currently work for an IT consulting firm and was able to be part of the Business Consulting Society while studying. Not only did BCS give me the chance to prepare myself very well for the consulting industry through the events and great cooperations with consultancies, but also gave me the opportunity to take on responsibility and manage small projects while still studying. In addition, you meet many new people with similar interests and develop great friendships.

Brigitta Sterzl

I joined BCS during my Business Masters at the University of Vienna, where I am majoring in Strategic Management and minored in E-Business and Banking & Finance. BCS allowed me to connect with like-minded people and grow in competence and soft skills. During the pandemic, it was the best place to discuss relevant consulting topics and meet students from various backgrounds.

What makes us special:

neuron.ai is a non-profit student initiative located in Linz, Austria. The organization pursues the goal of fostering AI talent at Austrian universities by providing the possibility to actively engage in the development of state-of-the-art technologies in workshops or AI-based coding challenges as well as fully-fledged research with renowned academic institutions and industrial business partners. The interdisciplinary and open-minded drive behind the initiative connects everybody interested in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, regardless of one's degree program.

What our members say about us:

David Fleischanderl

When I first heard the pitch for an AI-centred initiative for university students, I was rather skeptical, since I didn’t think many students would be motivated to invest time into learning about topics they were already being taught in courses on a daily basis. Nevertheless, I went along since I thought it couldn’t hurt to try and make a platform to help motivation for self-studying amongst students. Looking back now, at what we already created in these approximately 5 months of being active I’m embarrassed, that I didn’t see this potential and at the same time I am proud of what we have built and continue to work on.

Nathanya Queby Satriani

After more than two years of distance learning, I stepped onto university grounds worrying about how I could possibly blend in amid unfamiliar faces. To my pleasant surprise, neuron.ai welcomed me with open arms and introduced me to people I now consider to be valuable friends. Every activity - from collaborative paper readings to good old meetups - has reignited my passion for the topic and fueled my motivation to navigate through learning pitfalls in my studies. Moving forward, I'm confident that this community will continue to inspire and encourage many others throughout their academic journey.

What our members say about us:

Nejla Mahmutovic

It offers an opportunity to help many young women gain direction in their professional life and connect them with like minded women in established careers. Yet, sheconomics is not only a place where I can further grow as a person, but also a safe space for other female students from all walks of life to learn and broaden their horizons.

Maria Promegger

Towards the end of my Bachelor's studies, it all clicked for me during my time as a business student when I noticed something missing: a tight-knit community where ambitious young women could come together, no matter their sector, right here in Vienna. Now, in my Master's program, I'm truly grateful for the amazing connections I've made through sheconomics.

Mentoring for first-year students

What makes us special:

There are several reasons why uniforce might be a unique and extraordinary chance for students to grow personally and acquire professional skills. However, the most important one might be both the chance and the need to develop leadership skills, formally by becoming Managing Partner or Department Head, but also informally because every single member can come up with its very own visions and objectives she or he wants to achieve. In fact, everyone could be the one to shape the future of the organization for many years or even a decade.

uniforce Consulting is an Austrian student consultancy founded in 1989, initially the first organization putting the originally French concept of Junior Enterprises to practice in Austria. Since 2001 uniforce Consulting was transformed to a limited liability company. With its three locations in Vienna, Carinthia and Upper Austria, uniforce Consulting is a vibrant, growing organization operating in all middle-European countries and temporarily overseas when required by international clients.

What our members say about us:

Evgeniya Ogorodnikova

After growing up in Russia, I started my studies in Vienna. My participation at uniforce was like a "crashcourse" for the business community in Austria. It was exciting to meet like-minded ambitious students and work together on projects. After completing the CEMS Master's degree andworking in the US, UK and Germany, I moved to Ireland to work for Google as a Product Specialist.

Felix Windsperger

I completed my training at WU Vienna and ESADE in Barcelona. In addition to my studies, I have gained insights into various companies and industries. Among other things, I worked for the Austrian Embassy in Washington D.C. and for N26 in Berlin. I am currently passionate about consulting at McKinsey & Company, where I have been employed since 2020.
